Nate Heller

The path to becoming a composer for film scores is not standard by any means, and Nate Heller has had an interesting journey. His early days were spent touring nationally with his band Wendy Darling, whose success allowed him to carve out a career in the film music world. His first feature film score accompanied the critically acclaimed, Sundance and Berlin winning The Diary of a Teenage Girl. He followed with two Academy nominated films Can You Ever Forgive Me and A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, becoming a recipient of a 2019 BMI Award for his original score for the latter film, as well as a 2020 Grammy nomination for its accompanying original motion picture soundtrack.
